  • How are staff vetted?
  • All staff are insured and security vetted with Basic Disclosure security screening. Documents are provided for confirmation during the consultation meeting.

     

  • Security
  • We take security very seriously. 

    • Keys are tagged with a colour coded fob. Only the name of the pet appears on the fob. Addresses, keys and dates of bookings are always kept separate. Keys are held in a safe until your booking becomes live. They are then given to the allocated sitter who returns them at the end of the booking. 

    • Your personal information is stored in a locked office and on an encrypted information system for use by Cosy Catz administrative staff and the allocated sitter. In compliance with GDPR your information is destroyed when no longer use 

    • We drive unmarked vehicles with no advertising displayed so there is complete anonymity.

  • How much does the service cost?
  • Prices range from £10-£16 for a single visit. The exact rate is determined by the following factors:

    Distance to home

    Ease of parking

    Medication

    Additional requirements e.g. garden watering

  • Can additional jobs be done whilst I am away?
  • Where possible we will aim to assist with additional jobs or requirements.

    e.g. plant or garden watering which may be subject to an extra charge.

    This might be a trip to the vet or needing to wait in the home for particular tradespeople/specialists e.g. issues with security systems.

  • What if my return is delayed?
  • Additional visits can be arranged should your return be delayed. As much notice as possible needs to be provided. Emergency contact details are taken at the consultation meeting. These will be used should there be a problem during your absence and we are unable to make direct contact with you. 

  • What happens if my sitter becomes unavailable during my booking?
  • In the event of your allocated sitter becoming unavailable due to illness or some other emergency another sitter will visit your home. If there are other problems e.g. adverse weather conditions preventing travel to your home we would activate a pre agreed contingency policy. 

  • I am interested in booking a service. What is the next stage?
  • Call, email or text with your post code and dates. A quote can then be provided

    If you are happy with the quote and want to proceed a meeting will be arranged to complete the paperwork and introduce the allocated sitter.

  • Payment methods
  • Payment by bank transfer is our preferred method of payment. However payment in cash is also acceptable. Cheques need to be submitted 14 days in advance of the payment due date.
